Sometimes relying on the weather reports when planning photo shoots fails me. Even when said weather report is saying no rain –while it is in fact already raining.
The weather was being less than cooperative for weeks, just rain every day, but Erin and I planned to play it by ear the morning of her mother/daughter shoot. Saturday morning I looked at my phone and it seemed we had a good window of time that would be rain free so we went for it!
We decided to meet at Blue Hen Falls in Cuyahoga Valley National Park (one of my favorite area waterfalls!) which is about 30 minutes away from me, so even though it was raining at my house as I got ready, I was trusting in my iphone weather app that in Peninsula, we would be rain free.
OK, well spoiler alert, you guessed it with all of this foreshadowing, it rained the entire freaking time.
Erin and Raegan were absolute soldiers! They shot with me for 2 hours, hiked in the mud, it was cold…I just can’t get over what total troopers they were during there session. AND Erin had just run a 5K the morning before and had a sore knee and hiked in booties. Basically she’s a badass.
So all of these obstacles in our way that day, and I can I say, I just don’t think it’s possible for them to not look incredible. Rain could not stop them from looking adorable. #motherdaughtergoals!
